Sat down at my favorite fire pit with this long, thin cigar (or stogie when going with the traditional word).

Had a first puff with hay, hickory, and subtle, earthy notes. At the half-way point a sweet back end came through. Although the last third became bitter and peppery with just a hint of newspaper. It felt like a punch to my tongue.

The cigar even began to drip from the cap that was becoming extremely gummy. I snipped the cap to finish the smoke.

A disappointing end to an exciting start. It was like watching a horse race only to see the horse you bet on die at the finish line. Not. Good.

I was hopeful I was going to enjoy it more considering the rich history of the brand.

Though, for a $2 smoke, it could have been worse. I suppose…
