Do you remember those lemon candies that your grandma always seemed to have? You can’t find them very often these days. Only once in a blue moon do they appear at a gas station in the exact middle of nowhere.
Had you ever thought “Gee, I want that smell in my nose.”
No? …just me?
Well, if you also ever thought that this the snuff for you.
This small golden container offering JBR Yellow (in another great tap tin) holds that exact aroma. In tobacco form.
When I say lemon, it’s not that “Oooh it’s a crisp orchard lemon in the early morning” type of thing. No. This is L-E-M-O-N. And you take a big hit, because let’s face it, this powder pours out like water. So, you either take one big bump, or two big bumps (dependent upon flow). Then you get smacked in the face with lemony sweetness. Not unlike the aftershock of a Warhead candy that puckers your face. This is followed by a mild creaminess, akin to a lemon meringue pie.
That said, it is a lemon with metal aroma right out of the tin. After letting it mellow, that metal note subsided. It’s possible the fermenting and the ammonia of the tobacco made for that funkily odd aroma.
But after returning to the snuff sometime later, it’s delicious.
Fantastic in the summer, or while enjoying some tea on the porch.
Mr. Snuff generously provided this tin for me to create an honest review.
